Emily West-Deal
(828) 630-7367Emily received her BSBA in Business Management from Western Carolina University. Upon graduating, she began her career in Human Resources at a local non-profi t where she worked closely with both employees and benefits plans. In late 2010, after a chance conversation, she began her insurance career at Wayah Insurance Group as a Personal Lines agents. She focused on serving clients in all areas related to their personal insurance needs. Then in 2013, just before the Affordable Care Act was implemented, Emily moved from her role in Personal Lines to the Life and Health Team of Wayah Insurance Group, a division of eBen.
She has worked primarily in Employee Benefits since that time, assistin g clients with developing the strategy that best suits their needs and the needs of their employees. This includes developing creative approaches, compliance, and close relationships with each client. Her prior experience in both Human Resources and Pharmacy have aided her in better serving her clientele.
Emily is licensed in North Carolina for all lines of coverage – Property, Casualty, Life, Accident and Health, and Medicare Supplement. She has completed the National Association of Health Underwriters Self-Funded Certification, maintained membership in the Western North Carolina Association of Health Underwriters Chapter, including service on the Board.
She is involved in her community, an active member of the Rotary Club of Franklin Daybreak, her local church, has great interest in health and wellness, and is proud to be a multi-generation native of Macon County, where she resides on her family’s 4th generation farm with her husband and their children.
